NARR’s 40-foot climbing tower is a great place to learn basic climbing skills in a controlled and predictable setting. See if you can get a good hold and hoist yourself up either of the two ledges for an even more technical climb. No matter which route you take to the top remember to ring the bell to signify your successful ascent! With a line for beginners and one for more advanced climbers, the tower is a good place for climbers of all skill levels to practice. “Climbing is a sport where you can always improve your skills. No matter how long you have been climbing there is always something you can learn,” says one of NARR’s TAG (teambuilding) facilitators. Guests may include a climbing tower adventure in their advance reservations, or sign-up at the Outfitter Store after arriving at NARR. If you think NARR’s man-made wall is fun, you will enjoy climbing natural rock cliffs. Running along miles of lake shores, river banks, and canyon rims, the sandstone cliffs beckon to climbers from all over the globe. Once at the top climbers enjoy spectacular views which are never seen from typical access areas. NARR partners with New River Mountain Guides (NRMG) to provide guests with a high quality natural climbing experience. Beginning climbers appreciate the expertise of their professional climbing guides. Already an experienced climber? Then allow NRMG guides to share their favorite lines and techniques. Guests may include a NRMG adventure in advance NARR reservations, or add-on at the Outfitter Store after arrival.
