A bunch of us from college came last weekend to raft the Lower New; some first timers and some more experienced. I think it's safe to speak for everyone and say we ALL had a BLAST! Devo was my raft guide and he is awesome, to say the least! This trip was definitely a memory worth having! Missy F. I just wanted to write a quick note to say I had a great time staying at your camp site and going white water rafting with NARR this last weekend. I came up with four of my friends and we had an amazing time. The camp grounds and facilities were great and every person on the staff was really nice. The rafting trip is one of the coolest things I have ever done. Our guide on the rafting trip was Scott and he really made the trip down the river exciting and enjoyable. He did a great job. I think we are all hooked and are already planning our next visit with you. Thanks again for a great weekend. We did NARR's kayak clinic with Casey Cunningham. He was a consummate paddler who was an absolute joy to be around and have as a guide. It was our first trip and we've since both bought kayaks and have begun paddling our local rivers in large part due to the wonderful experience we had w/NARR and Casey. Thanks a million for the wonderful introduction to paddling NARR! Russell H. I would have NEVER gone whitewater rafting had our son not signed us up, no questions asked... My husband and I both admit to initial heart-thumping fear which so quickly turned into awe-inspiring enjoyment! Your team is amazing in every aspect from front desk to kitchens to busdrivers to trip leaders, guides, etc. Your facility is clean, modern and welcoming. Our raft trip was a never-to-be-forgotten experience which provoked feelings of awe, power, strength, cooperation,peace and most importantly an intimate connection to nature and her beauty and strength. Brian made sure we had a great time even if we didn't notice when he fell out!! It was a phenomenal day for rafting. Crenshaw caught all of our carnage and we had a great time watching together at the end. We also had a great time camping and enjoying the on site activities. My son and I just wanted to drop a line to all of the folks at NARR and thank everyone for the excellent time we had over this past weekend. We were part of Boy Scout Troop 111 from Charlottesville VA and rafted down the Lower New river on Saturday. From the camp ground to lunch to the shower facilities, everything was great! Additionally, we would like to specifically recognize two of the employees, the first being our guide, Chad. Chad was polite and professional and obviously had a genuine concern not only with our safety but also the quality of our experience. Chad entertained us with his knowledge of the area and the river and kept everyone laughing with his stories and comments. His input made the whole trip top notch, I don't think it could have been improved on as far as he is concerned. Secondly, Kim in the Trading Post took time out to help us with a mailing for my wife. She went out of her way to make sure that we were taken care of and given special attention above and beyond what could be expected. It was truly appreciated and I would like to thank her again. Your knowledge of the water is incredible and we very much enjoyed the history of the area as well. NARR is an incredible outfitter and their staff is A++. Wendy M. My wife and I had never been rafting before, but we had a wonderful time on the Lower New last weekend! We can't wait to come back and do it again! Best of all, we had a wonderful guide - Kyle. Not only did he offer safe passage through the Lower New, but he also offered tons of great information on the history of the river and of the area surrounding it. We did the full day rafting trip on Friday with Daniel and then my wife and kids did the canopy course on Saturday with Jeremy. We had a GREAT weekend. Everyone at NARR was great to deal with, and arranging a late checkout on Saturday to accomodate our schedule was no problem. My wife and I ran the river 20+ years ago with NARR, and your trips are still great. Oh, the lunch was great too! Bruce and Ruth P. I've done the New with other rafting companies that are amateurish compared to NARR. Everything from the reservation process, the facilities, the buffet meals, and the trip itself were first class - world class. The guides were great; no flipping the boat on purpose. The campground was great; everything you needed was right there. I pulled in at 9pm and was greated by a live band and $2.00 beers. What more could anyone ask for? Doing the Gauley with NARR in September. I will never use another company besides NARR. Steve S. The staff and guides were very helpful on the river and even before the trip took off. They explained everything so there were no questions about what to do. NARR is a very professional rafting service and I would recommend them as top notch. This was my 4th trip with NARR and the next time I am planning a rafting trip, I will be calling North American River Runners!!!!! Pam E. This year's trip far surpassed our expectations!!! The boys had a blast - even "Tiger" can't talk enough about his Lower New Trip!! Chad - you are truly an asset to the company! The entire experience is one we will never forget. The first night of camping at your site was fun – your staff was accommodating and helpful. The first day of rafting was excellent. Our guides were Casey and Ben. I want to commend both of them – they made the trip a wonderful experience. We loved the different approaches to the days – duckies on Saturday and the bigger boat on Sunday. The meals were all fantastic. At the campsite, Casey and Ben went out of their way to ensure that all of us had a terrific experience. We had a great time and I am sure that we will be back in the future. Pamela G An awesome experience!! I originally called to book the Upper New since I had never been rafting before and was a little intimidated by the descriptions of the Lower New. I was convinced by Laura that we'd have so much more fun on the Lower New and she was completely correct! It was a blast and Dave has to be the best guide on the river! I'm so glad we chose NARR. I was a little scared, but felt completely safe and comfortable that NARR was going to make sure I got down the river in one piece. Our whole group really enjoyed the trip.
