What a fantastic experience! I originally called to book the Upper New since I had never been rafting before and was a little intimidated by the descriptions of the Lower New. I was convinced by Laura that we'd have so much more fun on the Lower New and she was completely correct! It was a blast and Dave has to be the best guide on the river! I'm so glad we chose NARR. I was a little scared, but felt completely safe and comfortable that NARR was going to make sure I got down the river in one piece. Our whole group really enjoyed the trip. I can't wait to come back and bring more friends! Thanks, NARR! Karen W. Kim was very helpful when making the reservations. We took the Upper New trip with Jo Beth and Scott. Both were great! We took the Lower New trip with Casey as our guide and Mike as our trip leader. Once again, both were great! Lee was our bus driver both days. He certainly knows how to drive those WV roads. Accomodations (tent cabin) and food were as advertised. NARR was recommended to us by a friend. We will recommend it to others. Thanks for a great trip! The Browns My sons, my wife, and I all had a terrific time on the New River with our guide, Kathy. When I made my reservations by phone from Miami, I told Katie that I only had one shot to make this a great experience for my boys, since we were only going to be in Fayetteville for one day. I can say without any doubts that this was the best whitewater rafting experience I ever had, and my family feels the same way. Dear Kim, I just wanted to thank you and all of the staff at NARR for an incredible visit to Hico and the New River Gorge. The facilities were fantastic and everybody was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Please let Ellis know that we all had a great time on the river, and that we hope to have a chance to look him up some time in the future, whether we return with another school group or simply on our own to do some climbing and paddling. We did the high adventure and we got so much more than we expected out of the whole experience. We LOVED the guides, who went out of their way to show us a good time, not only rafting but hiking and rock jumping. From the day on the river to the quality facilities at the campground to the fun around the campfire we had a spectacular experience. Dear NARR Staff, This is a short memo to thank you for the totally awesome adventure that your company provided for us this past weekend. We did the white water rafting adventure on 8 Jul 06. Our family is still talking about it. We purchased two pictures from your shop that the photographer shot of us. I took those pictures to work and some of my coworkers said that it looked fun and that they would like to try it someday. Chris and Mike were outstanding water guides, absolute humor is the key to a great trip and they provided just that, keeping safty at the forefront at all times. It was great that they stopped at different locations along the way to let the kids jump out and swim. The bus driver was great too and very informative. I don't remember his name but I know that he recommended a restaurant called Gumbo's to us. We found it based on his directions, ate there and loved it. Chris and the ex-guide (a female) also told us about snorkeling in clear water at Summersville Lake. We went to the lake, rented the snorkeling gear, but didn't find the area to snorkel in clear waters; maybe next time.We do plan on returning there next summer in July to take on another water adventure. We even have two families who said they want to join us next time. So keep up the good work and keep people like Chris and Mike on board, who believe and demonstrate that safety and fun can go hand in hand.
