This past weekend we participated in the Gauley overnight. It was our second overnight trip down the Gauley with your organization, and we plan coming back for more in the future. Your hospitality and facilities are absolutely fantastic. I would like to also take the opportunity to mention the guides and the chef at the campsite. Tasha, Mike, Scotty and Perry are a great group of people. Specifically, I would like to thank Scotty for making the entire trip a blast! We will be coming back for the 2010 Gauley season, and bringing more friends with us. Thanks for everything!

We had a great time! Eileen is a great guide and a wonderful person. 2010 will be my 18th year rafting with NARR. My first trip was September 1992. It was the Upper Gauley with my brother and I have been rafting ever since. I have been contacted by other companies in the past and I keep telling them that no matter how much they lowered their prices, they couldn't match the quality and the professionalism of NARR!

Just wanted to thank you all for such a wonderful time this past weekend. We rafted on Saturday with Mary and did the short ropes course with Martha and Patrick on Sunday. All of it was great! All of our guides were professional and helpful, and the office folks were really organized and friendly. If it weren't for the 8.5 hour drive from New Jersey, we'd be down there all the time! Thanks again for such a wonderful weekend.

I have been over 30 times w/NARR over the last 25 years - started back in the day when you had to bail out your own rafts - it just gets better and better each year - the guides love their jobs obviously and make everyone feel at ease - I've been several times where besides the guide I was the only who had rafted before and they always made everyone feel comfortable and safe. I wanted to take a moment to recognize your professional staff for, yet another, incredible time with NARR on the river this past weekend. I brought 12 friends out for the overnight on the Lower New and had specifically requested Ellis and Jo Beth as our guides (and Chicken Head for his amazing camping skills) based on last year's overnight performance, and expectations were definitely exceeded. In addition, we were fortunate enough to have Zack and Chef Felix, who both complimented the team perfectly. I don't know if I've ever eaten that well on camping trip, by the way.

I've been coming to WV and using NARR to raft the Upper Gauley almost every year since I was a sophomore in college in '97. Last year, upon moving from Chicago to D.C., I discovered the overnight trip on the Lower New and along with it, Ellis, Jo Beth and Chicken Head. There was no question after last year's trip that we had to have those three again this year, and they reminded me why this past weekend. I'm not sure what part of the weekend made me smile more, blasting through class 5 rapids or watching the expressions on my 12 friends faces as they did the same. I was even told by a friend that just moved to D.C. from Southern California that this ranks in her top 5 weekends of all-time....that's a huge accolade in my world!

As you may or may not know, we had a variation in age and skill level out there on Sunday and the water was... well... fun, but fast and big too. The way Jo Beth, Ellis and Zack (with the addition of Katie in J.B.'s raft) kept everyone together and in-sync was truly impressive. I personally rode with Jo Beth and my two buddy's, along with a 10 year old, his 17 year old sister and their parents, and I had just as much fun as I do rafting with any of my crew. Everyone in our raft had a blast, while safe and well-instructed the entire time. I could literally go on forever, but I'm sure you get the idea. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all of these guys and know that they are the reason I'll continue to bring people back and use NARR year after year.

I went white water rafting on a school trip and I know it is something I will never forget. I only wish we had more time on the water and a whole lot more rapids! Both our guides made it a great time one making us constantly laugh and the other finally teaching us to row together. The cabins are warm once you have enough people in them. The extra activities are a blast, especially the high ropes course (thanks Pat and Amber). The restaurant had amazing food and they had nice clean facilities. To anyone thinking about going on a trip it is well worth it. Thanks NARR and staff for making our trip so great!

I wanted to send my compliments to NARR of our experience at their WV location. My experience with NARR from the time I booked the trip to the minute we left the grounds was above and beyond. Speaking of the grounds, I never seen a cleaner camping site area, and the sections were pretty large and spaced out. For those of us who used tents that were included in our package, were assisted in setting them up. I even saw some other visitors that were assisted who brought their own tents, which I thought was very nice. The restrooms and shower rooms at the campground was spotless; it was well lit and very clean. Paper was stocked and the area near the showers was dry.

We had the breakfast and dinner buffets during our stay. The breakfast was good and filling but the dinner buffet wowed everyone in the group. Expecting hotdogs and hamburgers for normal dinner buffet at a camp ground, we instead had quality, texture, and taste of food that would equal an upscale restaurant. I personally had both the salmon and chicken. Please let the restaurant manager/head cook know that we absolutely loved it. Some of the members of our group are picky about food but they couldn't get enough.

Meg, our raft guide was very friendly and outgoing. She was very knowledgeable of the area that we rafted and showed us some points of interest along the river that certain members of our group who had been on the river before were not aware of. She also noted points of interest that were local to the area and gave some stories which made for a great time. If available, we would request her. Steph, who was our paintball referee; was also very nice and friendly. We requested a time change to play a little earlier than scheduled and she was happy to make the change. She made sure that we were safe but had fun while playing paintball. We had an odd number of people and she was willing to play to even the teams up. She also pointed out some local interests for us. She also helped us by confirming a faster and easier route back home to Chicago, which did save us time on our trip home, greatly appreciated.

In the end, all the employees at NARR we interacted with were very nice, helpful, and had great attitudes. From the people over the phone that were more than willing to answer any and all questions that I had, and I had many. To the ladies in the main building/gift shop that were informative and helpful. We were received with smiles and great hospitality by the gift shop employees, restaurant hostess, river guides, paintball referee, and everyone else we interacted with there during our stay. Quite frankly, we wish we had more time to enjoy everything that was available us that we didn’t have a chance to enjoy such as the wall climbing, the zip lines, and fishing. NARR has certainly left a great impression on all the members of our group; we hope to be back next summer for another run at the river. Please make sure that you have all those in charge read this to make them aware that they have a great team working for them at their WV location.

I just wanted to write a quick note to say I had a great time staying at your camp site and going white water rafting with NARR this last weekend. I came up with four of my friends and we had an amazing time. The camp grounds and facilities were great and every person on the staff was really nice. The rafting trip is one of the coolest things I have ever done. Our guide on the rafting trip was Scott and he really made the trip down the river exciting and enjoyable. He did a great job. I think we are all hooked and are already planning our next visit with you. Thanks again for a great weekend. We did NARR's kayak clinic with Casey Cunningham. He was a consummate paddler who was an absolute joy to be around and have as a guide. I would have NEVER gone whitewater rafting had our son not signed us up, no questions asked... My husband and I both admit to initial heart-thumping fear which so quickly turned into awe-inspiring enjoyment! Your team is amazing in every aspect from front desk to kitchens to bus drivers to trip leaders, guides, etc. Your facility is clean, modern and welcoming. Our raft trip was a never-to-be-forgotten experience which provoked feelings of awe, power, strength, cooperation,peace and most importantly an intimate connection to nature and her beauty and strength. Hello NARR! We had an absolute blast. Brian made sure we had a great time even if we didn't notice when he fell out!! It was a phenomenal day for rafting. Crenshaw caught all of our carnage and we had a great time watching together at the end. We also had a great time camping and enjoying the on site activities. Greetings everyone at NARR!
I was there yesterday with our 200+ first year/transfer students and it was a phenomenal day. I really just wanted to let you know that everything was great. The facilities were very nice, the staff was very professional and helpful, and rafting was an amazing experience. So, thank you to everyone that was there yesterday to help and thank you to everyone who was "behind-the scenes" to make yesterday great for our girls. Speaking for our guide, Ben was hilarious and a great guide. He made the day very fun for our group. (And, he tells great jokes!)

My son and I just wanted to drop a line to all of the folks at NARR and thank everyone for the excellent time we had over this past weekend. We were part of Boy Scout Troop 111 from Charlottesville VA and rafted down the Lower New river on Saturday. From the camp ground to lunch to the shower facilities, everything was great!

Additionally, we would like to specifically recognize two of the employees, the first being our guide, Chad. Chad was polite and professional and obviously had a genuine concern not only with our safety but also the quality of our experience. Chad entertained us with his knowledge of the area and the river and kept everyone laughing with his stories and comments. His input made the whole trip top notch, I don't think it could have been improved on as far as he is concerned. Secondly, Kim in the Trading Post took time out to help us with a mailing for my wife. She went out of her way to make sure that we were taken care of and given special attention above and beyond what could be expected. It was truly appreciated and I would like to thank her again.
